2. Enter a phone number from standby mode. (If you make
a mistake while dialing, press to erase one digit at
a time. Press and hold to erase the entire number.)
3. Press . (To make a call when you are roaming and
Call Guard is enabled, highlightRoam Call and press .
See “Using Call Guard”on page 72.)
4. Press or close the phone when you are finished.
Tip: To redial your lastoutgoing call, pressTALK twice.
Tip: When making calls off the Nationwide SprintPCS Network, always dial
using 11 digits (1 + area code + phone number).
You can also place calls from your phone by using SprintPCS
Voice CommandSM(page 182), Speed Dialing numbers from
your Contacts (page 85), and using your Call History listings
(page 74).
Dialing Options
When you enter numbers in standby mode, you will see a
variety of dialing options appear on the phone’s display
screen.
Tip: To speed dial a phone number from standby mode, press and hold the
speed dial number. If the speed dial number is two digits, enter the first
digit, and then press and hold the second digit. (For information on setting
up speed dial numbers, see “Assigning Speed Dial Numbers”on page 85.)
(This feature will notwork when you are roaming off the Nationwide
SprintPCS Network; when roaming you must dial using eleven digits
[1 + the area code + the seven-digitphone number.])
䢇Call dials the displayed phone number.
䢇Send Message allows you to send a textmessage or picture
mail to the number being dialed.
