Figure 2-9. Alias Station Form
The Alias Set Type field in the form represents the aliased set type, and it can contain a maximum of seven characters. The associated Supported Set Type field is a keyword field that accepts a value for any natively supported set type. Therefore, for example, if you want three call appearances, enter 9630 into the Alias Set Type field and 9601+ into the Supported Set Type field. On the other hand, if you want two call appearances, enter 9630 into the Alias Set Type field and 9601 into the Supported Set Type field.
Once the 9630 Series WT is aliased, it is subject to all of the restrictions, including feature capabilities, of its associated supported set type. Aliasing is transparent to the end user.
Once you submit the form, the value that you entered into the Alias Set Type field (for example, 9630) appears as a valid value in the Type field in the Station form (whenever this form is accessed via the add station command). Also, the appropriate form is displayed whenever value 9630 is entered into the Type field in the Station form.
All other commands that accept a set type as a valid option (for example, list station type 9630) also accept value 9630 as if it were natively supported in the DEFINITY ECS.
