Registering preset codes

When preset codes are registered in the included remote control unit, it can then be used to operate any devices you have, such as DVD players or TVs made by different manufacturers.

NOTE

No preset codes other than BD, DVD, SAT, TV and CD can be registered.

In the factory settings, remote control codes for all marantz products are registered.

For switching power of each device on or off.

For menu operation of each device.

eMENU, SHIFT/TOP MENU

For displaying the menu of each device.

r3, 1, 2, 8, 9, 6, 7 t Number button (0 9, +10)

y PRESET +, PRESET – u TV Z / X, TV INPUT

For operating a TV

This button is enabled in any mode.

Registering preset codes

The following two methods can be used for registering the reset code.

See the preset code list table for the code to be input.

1 Press and hold down the input source select buttons for the appliance to control, and press SET until the SET indicator blinks.

2 Press the 4-digit code for the appliance using 0 - 9 (code table at the end of this book).

When the procedure is successful, the

SEND indicator blinks twice.

NOTE

If the SEND indicator did not blink twice, then repeat steps 1 and 2 and try entering the same code again.

wScanning the code table

1 Switch the power of the appliance to which you want to register the preset code to ON.

2 Press and hold down the input source select buttons for the appliance to control, and press SET until the SET indicator blinks.

3 Aim the remote control at the appliance and slowly alternate between pressing SOURCE d and SOURCE Z /X for the appliance.

4 When the power of the appliance that you want to register has turned off, release the button.

5 Press ENTER.

When the procedure is successful, the

SEND indicator blinks twice.
