misinstalled. Make sure that the transfer unit was correctly
installed.
The transfer roller is
damaged. Replace the transfer roller.
Printouts
seem faded
on one
side.
The printer is not on a
level enough surface. Level the printer surface. The slant of the sur-
face holding the printer should not exceed 1.5°
after the printer is placed on it (for example, a
round pencil laid on the surface shouldn’t roll
in any direction).
Irregular
print or
mottled
image
appears.
The media is moist
from humidity or hav-

ing water spilled on

the paper supply.

Toner does not

adhere well to paper

where it has become

wet.

Remove the moist media and replace it with
new, dry media.
The transfer roller may
be misinstalled or
defective.
Confirm the proper installation of the transfer
