Remove the Cables and Media Tray(s) 167

Remove the Cables and Media Tray(s)

1Turn off the printer.

2Remove the power cable and all interface cables.

3Remove the media tray(s) from the printer.

Remove the Toner Cartridges

1Open the printer’s front and top covers.

Attention

If you have an optional duplex unit installed, always open the duplex

unit’s top cover before opening the printer’s top cover.

Leave the covers open during the repacking procedure.

2Remove the four toner cartridges, attach the protective shields over their

magnetic rollers, and store them in their original packaging.

Prepare the Fuser Unit

WARNING!

The fuser unit can become extremely hot and cause severe

burns. Make sure the unit is cool before handling it.
