General Camera Setup

The Setup Menu

In the setup menu, the following options can be changed.

	Set up
Welcome	Time zone
screen	and date
Monitor	Print date
settings
Vibration	AF assist
reduction

	Option	Description	A
		Allows you to select the picture displayed as the welcome
General	cWelcome	screen when the camera is turned on. Select COOLPIX to	E79
	screen	display the COOLPIX logo. Select Select an image to use a
		picture taken with the camera as the welcome screen.
Camera		Allows you to set the settings related to the camera’s date
		time zone where the camera is mainly used and whether
Setup		and time. The Time zone setting allows you to specify the
	dTime zone and	or not daylight saving time is in effect. When the travel	E80
	date	destination (x) is selected, the camera automatically
		calculates the time difference between the travel
		destination and the home time zone (w), and saves
		pictures using the date and time of the travel destination.
	e Monitor	Set the information display setting, the image review	E83
	settings	setting, and the monitor brightness.
		Allows you to imprint the shooting date and time on
		pictures at the time of shooting.
		• The shooting date and time cannot be imprinted on
		pictures in the following situations:
		- When using Sports, Museum, Backlighting (when
		HDR is set to On), Panorama, Pet portrait (when
	fPrint date	Continuous is selected), or 3D photography scene	E84
		mode.
		- When On is selected for Blink proof (A52) in smart
		portrait mode.
		- When Continuous H, Continuous L, or BSS is
		selected for the continuous setting (A38).
		- When shooting movies.
