The Shooting Menu (for A (Auto) Mode)

BNotes on Continuous Shooting

When Continuous H, Continuous L, BSS, or Multi-shot 16 is selected, the flash is disabled. Focus, exposure, and white balance are fixed at the values determined with the first picture in each series.

It may take some time to save the pictures after shooting. The amount of time it takes to finish saving the pictures depends on the number of pictures, image mode, the write speed of the memory card, etc.

When ISO sensitivity increases, noise may appear in pictures taken.

The frame rate with continuous shooting may vary depending upon the current image mode setting, the memory card used, or shooting condition.

When Multi-shot 16 is selected, banding or variance in brightness or hue may occur in pictures that were taken under lighting that flickers at high speeds, such as fluorescent, mercury-vapor, or sodium-vapor lighting.

There are functions with which this setting cannot be enabled. See “Features That Cannot Be Applied Simultaneously” (A64) for more information.

BNote on BSS

BSS is effective when taking pictures of still subjects. BSS may not produce the desired results if the subject moves or the composition changes while the shutter-release button is held down.

CPictures Taken in Continuous Shooting Mode

Each time pictures are taken using Continuous H or Continuous L, the pictures are saved as a “sequence” (E17).
