When this button is pressed during stop, playback begins from the start of the selected clips. When it is pressed during playback, the variable-speed playback (Page 59) is set, and the clips are played back at the 1x speed.

If you do not move the cursor when “PLAYBACK RESUME” is “ON”, the playback starts from the last stop position.

Rapid forward playback ()

When this button is pressed during playback, the clip currently selected is played rapidly in the forward direction (at 4x normal speed). When the thumbnail display screen is not displayed, this type of playback is possible even during stop. If the button is held down, the playback speed is increased. (The setting value for “SPEED MAX” on the setting menu “PLAYBACK FUNCTIONS” is set.) When it is pressed during pause, the next clip or text memo is selected for playback. (Depends on the setting for the “SEEK POS” item on the setting menu “PLAYBACK FUNCTIONS”.)

Rapid reverse playback ()

When this button is pressed during playback, the clip currently selected is played rapidly in the reverse direction (at 4x normal speed). When the thumbnail display screen is not displayed, this type of playback is possible even during stop. If the button is held down, the playback speed is increased. (The setting value for “SPEED MAX” on the setting menu “PLAYBACK FUNCTIONS” is set.) When it is pressed during pause, the previous clip or text memo is selected for playback. (Depends on the setting for the “SEEK POS” item on the setting menu “PLAYBACK FUNCTIONS”.)

Stop ()

If you press during playback, the playback stops and the thumbnail display screen is restored.

Pause ()

When this button is pressed again, playback is resumed.

Single clip playback

When “ONE CLIP” is assigned to [USER] (Page 97), if you press the [USER], only the clip at the cursor position can be played back.

When the single clip playback finishes or you

press , the playback stops and the thumbnail display screen is restored. The cursor moves to the next clip.

During the single clip playback, all buttons but are disabled.

The single clip playback starts from the beginning of the clip, regardless of whatever setting for “PLAYBACK RESUME” is made.

During the single clip playback, you cannot add a text memo.
