Making and Answering Calls

RECALL and PAUSE buttons!

RECALL button

The RECALL button allows you to use special features of a host exchange

(if connected) or local telephone company services such as call waiting. For further details, contact your host exchange supplier or local telephone company.

For KX-FP81NZ/KX-FP85NZ only

The RECALL button also functions like the hookswitch on a regular telephone. If you misdial a telephone number, press the

RECALL button firmly.

REDIAL/PAUSE

Entering pauses

When the REDIAL/PAUSE button is pressed during dialling, a pause will be inserted.

Example 1:

If your unit is connected to a host exchange, insert a pause to get an outside line.

If a transmission error occurs during an overseas transmission, add two pauses at the end of the telephone number.

Note:

PAUSE can be stored into a telephone number in the EASY DIAL directory.

TONE

 

The TONE ( ) button is used for rotary pulse dial services and allows you to temporarily change from pulse to tone mode during a dialling operation.

When you hang up, the unit will automatically return to the pulse mode.

Note:

TONE can be stored into a telephone number in the EASY DIAL directory.
