The auto talk feature allows you to answer a call by lifting the handset off the base unit without

pressing . The factory preset is OFF. In order to view Caller ID information before answering a call, leave the auto talk feature OFF.

Make sure that the power is ON (p. 15), and the unit is in the standby mode.

To set the auto talk feature ON/OFF

1Press .

2Press or until the arrow points to “Setting Handset”, then press .

3Press or until the arrow points

to “Other Option”, then press .

4Press or until the arrow points

to “Auto Talk”, then press .

The arrow points to the current setting.

5Press or to select ONor OFF.

6Press .

A beep sounds.

The display will return to “Auto Talk”.

To return to the standby mode, press

or wait for 60 seconds.

You can exit the programming mode any time

by pressing .

Storing a Dialled Number into the Handset Phonebook

Make sure that the power is ON (p. 15), and the unit is in the standby mode.

To store an entered number into the phonebook

1Enter a phone number.

The entered number is displayed.

If you misdial, press C . Digits are erased from the right.

To cancel, press and hold C or press

.

2Press .

3Follow steps 4 to 7 on Storing Caller List Information into Phonebook (p. 31).

4While “Save” is at the arrow, press .

A beep sounds and “Saved” is displayed.

The display will return to the entered phone number.

To store a redial number into the phonebook

1Press .

The last number dialled is displayed.

2Press or until the arrow points to the phone number you desire to store,

then press .

3Follow steps 4 to 7 on Storing Caller List Information into Phonebook (p. 31).

4While “Save” is at the arrow, press .

A beep sounds and “Saved” is displayed.
