TEXT MODE

About TEXT display

Press the TEXT MODE button to enable the TEXT display mode; each additional time the button is pressed, the display alternates between track name, album name, and artist name. During MP3 playback, the display will alternate between the ID3 tag’s title name or file name/ID3 tag’s album name/ID3 tag’s artist name.

Each item can display up to 48 characters of text; text longer than 8 characters is scrolled.

Text may include alphanumerics and some symbols.

If no text is available, the [NO TEXT] message will be displayed.

When a track name is selected in TEXT display and then a disc is in- serted, or after inserting a disc if the TEXT display track name is se- lected, or if track search is performed so as to change the playback track, the [ ] icon will be displayed followed by the track name (with MP3, the ID3 tag’s title name or file name will be displayed).

Also, during MP3 play, the bit rate will be displayed following the track name.

When an album name is selected in TEXT display and then that disc is inserted, or after inserting a disc if the TEXT display album name is se- lected, the [ ] icon will be displayed followed by the album name (with MP3, the ID3 tag’s album name will be displayed).

When an artist name is selected in TEXT display and then a disc is in- serted, or if after inserting a disc if the TEXT display artist name is se- lected, or if track search is performed so as to change the playback track, the [ ] icon will be displayed followed by the artist’s name (with MP3, the ID3 tag’s artist name will be displayed).

Pioneer PRO DJ

When folder search is performed with MP3, the folder name is displayed.

Pioneer DJ

Press the TIME MODE/AUTO CUE button to switch to the time dis- play.
