Using HDMI Input

This Plasma Television is equipped with two HDMI terminals (INPUT 3 and 4) which accept digital video and audio signals. To use the HDMI terminal, activate the terminal and specify the types of video and audio signals to be received from the connected equipment. For the types of these signals, see the operation manual that came with the connected equipment. Before starting the menu, press INPUT 3 or INPUT 4 on the remote control unit or press INPUT on the Plasma Television to select INPUT 3 or INPUT 4.

Sampling frequency: 32 kHz, 44.1 kHz, 48 kHz

NOTE

PC signals are out of correspondence.

It may take time until an image is displayed depending on the equipment connected.

Connecting HDMI equipment

When using the INPUT 3 HDMI terminal:

Connect the SCART cable only when inputting analogue audio signals.

To activate the HDMI terminal:

When you use the INPUT 3 HDMI terminal, use the following procedure to activate the terminal.

1Press HOME MENU.

2 Select “Option” (/ then ENTER).

3 Select “HDMI Input” (/ then ENTER). 4 Select “Setting” (/ then ENTER).

5 Select “Enable” (/ then ENTER).

Disable

Deactivates the HDMI terminal.

Enable

Activates the HDMI terminal.

6Press HOME MENU to exit the menu.

NOTE

You need not activate the INPUT 4 HDMI terminal; you cannot manually deactivate this terminal.

To specify the type of digital video signals:

1Repeat steps 1 to 3 provided for “To activate the HDMI terminal.

2 Select “Video” (/ then ENTER).

3 Select the type of digital video signals (/ then ENTER).

If you select “Auto”, an attempt will be made to identify the type of digital video signals when digital video signals are received.
