General Guidelines
Never cut long grooves in the skin of a panel. Long grooves in the skin can seriously compromise the structural integrity of your panels. When necessary, you
may cut 4” access holes and use a long remodelers flex bit with a catch hook to run wires where a chase may not exist.
Use vertical chases and interior walls whenever possible for most of your wiring needs.
Use a remodeler’s box that has flanges so the box can be fastened directly to the panel skin.
