•Using the terminal window
~When the terminal window is open it is ready to use.
Click inside the window to get access to the command
prompt
~Type the desired command at the command prompt
including any arguments that the command requires
and press ENTER
Example: To confirm that the terminal type ver at the
terminal command prompt and press ENTER. (see
“Command Line Interface” on page 86 for a detailed
list of commands).
The terminal should respond with a message similar to
that shown in Figure 3-24.
Note that you do not need to disable command logging
in order to use command line control, but you may want
to do so if you want to see only those commands that
you have entered manually.
•Clearing the Terminal Window
~To clear the contents of the Terminal Window click on
the Clear button at the bottom of the Terminal Window
