Replacing Consumables

Replacing the Waste Toner Bottle and Charger

You should replace waste toner bottle and charger whenever the following messages appear on the panel dis- play.

WASTE TONER

ALMOST FULL

WASTE TONER

FULL

RWARNING:

•Do not incinerate spilled toner or used toner. Toner dust might ignite when exposed to an open flame.

•Disposal can take place at our authorized dealer or at appro- priate collection sites.

•If you dispose of the used ton- er containers yourself, dis- pose of them according to your local regulations.

RCAUTION:

•When accessing the inside of the machine, do not touch any sec- tions other than those specified in this manual. If you do, it might result in receiving a burn or inju- ry.

Note

❒Before removing the waste toner bottle from the printer, spread pa- per or some other material around the area you are working to keep toner from making floor dirty.

ATurn on the printer’s power switch.

BOpen the front cover by pushing the front cover release button.

CHold the inset grips (green part) of the photoconductor unit, and pull the top side of the photocon- ductor unit forward.

DReplace the waste toner bottle .

A Grasping the waste toner bot- tle by its green tabs, remove it from the printer.
