Specifying paper size using the operation panel

Use the following procedure to speci- fy the paper size from the printer's operation panel after loading paper into the bypass tray.

A Press {Menu}.

Sliding out the Output Tray Extender

If you load paper of A4L or 81/2" × 11"L or larger, slide out the output tray extender.

Important

Do not place the rear end of the printer near a wall or touch it with barehands. This area can become extremely hot.

CPress {Enter} until “BYPASS TRAY SIZE” appears.

BYPASS TRAY SIZE

8.5x11 *

DUse {U} {T} to select the paper size you have specified for the pa- per tray, and then press {Enter}.

BYPASS TRAY SIZE 8x13

EPress {Menu}.

The setting becomes effective.

FPress {Menu}.

The normal display screen ap- pears.

Note

After printing, return the output tray extender to its original posi- tion.
