RECORDING WITH EASE FOR BEGINNERS (SMART AUTO MODE)

When you use the SMART AUTO function, the camera detects the kind of scene you want to record, and then adjusts most of its settings automatically. This function frees you from making detailed adjustments.

1. Press the SMART AUTO button.	85

2.Adjust the subject on the LCD screen.

• The camcorder automatically detects a scene (Landscape,
Sunset, etc.) and adjusts the camcorder settings accordingly.				<Video mode>
• The appropriate scene icon appears on the LCD screen.

3. Press the Recording start/stop button or PHOTO button. pages 41, 44

• To record videos, press the Recording start/stop button. To record photos, press the PHOTO button.

4. To cancel SMART AUTO mode, press the SMART AUTO button again.
