Print Speed Adjustment

There are three SPEED settings on the CL608/612 (4 ips, 6 ips and 8 ips) and five on the CL408/412 (2 ips, 3 ips, 4 ips, 5 ips and 6 ips). The setting is listed on the bottom line of the display. The current setting is indicated by an underline under one of the speed settings. To change the setting:

1.Use the LINE key to step the underline cursor to the desired speed setting.

2.Once the correct setting is underlined, press the FEED key to accept the setting and advance to the next adjustment.

Note: This setting can be overriden by software (see Print Speed, page 4-62).

See Section 3: CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE, for additional information on how to make this adjustment for optimum print quality.

Pitch Offset and Direction

The label Pitch is the distance from the leading edge (the edge that comes out of the printer first) of a label and the leading edge of the next label. The leading edge position of the label can be adjusted relative to the print head +/- 49 mm in increments of 1 mm using the following procedure. Once the position is set, it can be
