2. SMS Text Messaging

Your fax machine can be used to send and receive SMS (Short Message Service) text messages.

Requirements:

To use this feature, you must:

♦Subscribe to an SMS service. If you wish to use the preset ANNY WAY SMS Center, simply send an SMS message and you will be automatically registered for SMS service.

If you wish to use the Telekom SMS Center, registration by means of a separate application is required. For more information, call the toll-free number 0800 330 4747. In addition, the machine settings must be changed as explained in Entering your SMS center number on page 29.

Note: Registration for SMS service is free of charge.

♦Have CLIP (Caller ID) service activated on your telephone line.

♦In addition to the above conditions, you must have Call Number Transmission activated by Telekom. If you do not already have this service, you can receive it through the Telekom hotline free of charge.

Important: In a PBX, SMS Messaging can only be used if the PBX supports a CLIP function, and if the PBX function that attaches a prefix to numbers is turned off.
