The heads may be dirty from condensed moisture or the magnetic coating of the video tape. (If this is the case, the heads need to be cleaned. Ask the retailer or Sharp approved service centre.)

REMOTE CONTROL PROBLEM

*The VCR cannot be operated by the remote control.

-The remote control unit is too far away from the main unit.

The remote control unit is not pointed correctly at the photoreceptor window.

The batteries are exhausted.

The batteries have not been inserted in the correct direction (+/- polarity).

This unit is equipped with a microprocessor. Its performance could be adversely affected by external electrical noise or interference. If this should happen, unplug the VCR and plug it in again after a few hours.
