Construction of the Trap report

The ELS knows 2 kinds of traps:

●Coldstart

●Change of port status

In case of Power On a Coldstart-trapwill be sent.

If the link-status of a port changes the current contents of the LED-STATUS Re- gister will be sent.

LED-Status:

Byte 3	Byte 2	Byte 1	Byte 0
Port 4	Port 3	Port 2	Port 1

Port Status:

Bit 7	Bit 6		Bit 5	Bit 4	Bit 3	Bit 2	Bit 1	Bit 0
0	0		0	Link	0	0	Duplex	Speed
	Link	1	= Link is up
		0	= Link is down
	Duplex	1	= Link is full duplex
		0	= Link is half duplex
	Speed	1	= Speed is 100Mbps
		0	= Speed is	10Mbps
	Example
	Port 1:	Link Up , full duplex, 100 MB
	Port 2:	Link down
	Port 3:	Link down
	Port 4:	Link Up , half duplex, 10 MB
