Ethernet Traffic Statistics
Transmitted Bytes Total no of packets transmitted from the particular interface
Transmitted Unicast packets Total number of packets (Unicast) transmitted to a
specified destination
Transmitted Discards No of packets dropped because of congestion or an error
along the path
In most cases, packet loss is due to network congestion.
Packets are discarded to avoid the very large delays that
can arise when too much traffic is queued up.
Transmitted error No of packets discarded because of format error
Received Bytes Total no of data bytes received through the particular
interface
Received Unicast packets Total no of packets received from a specified destination.
Received Multicast Packets Total no of packets received from a multicast group.
Received Discards No of packets discarded due to resource limitation
Received Errors No of packets discarded because of format error
