DC IN indicator

Satellite P770/P775/P770D/P775D

Models which do not include a remote controller are not equipped with an infrared receiver so the computer cannot be operated with a remote controller.

Memory media slot This slot lets you insert an SD™/SDHC™/ SDXC™ memory card, miniSD™/microSD™ Card, Memory Stick™ (Duo™/PRO™/PRO Duo™/Micro™), xD-Picture Card™ and MultiMediaCard™. Refer to the Optional devices section in Chapter 3, Operating Basics for more information.

Keep foreign metal objects, such as screws, staples and paper clips, out of the Memory media slot. Foreign metal objects can create a short circuit, which can cause damage and fire, possibly resulting in serious injury.

DC IN indicator

The DC IN indicator normally glows white when

 

power is being correctly supplied from the AC

 

power adaptor.

 

 

Power indicator

The Power indicator normally glows white when

 

the computer is turned on. However, if you turn

 

the computer off into Sleep Mode, this indicator

 

will flash amber - approximately two seconds on,

 

two seconds off - both while the system is

 

shutting down and while it remains turned off.

 

 

Battery indicator

The Battery indicator shows the condition of the

 

battery's charge - white indicates the battery is

 

fully charged, amber indicates the battery is

 

charging, and flashing amber indicates a low

 

battery condition. Please refer to Chapter 5,

 

Power and Power-Up Modes for more

 

information on this feature.

 

 

Hard Disk Drive/Opti- cal Disc Drive indica- tor

The Hard Disk Drive/Optical Disc Drive indicator blinks white whenever the computer is accessing the built-in hard disk drive or optical disc drive.

Memory media slot in- The Memory media slot indicator blinks white
