•Off: The scanner is silent when you press a key.

•On: The scanner beeps when you press a key.

Turning Power Save On or Off

Set Battery Save

•On: The scanner goes into low-power mode when you monitor a conventional channel that has no activity.

•Off: Power save is off.

This is done to comply with the legal requirement that scanners be manufactured so they are not easy to modify to pick up these transmissions.
