1. Press at anytime to stop the search.To move up or down 1 frequency
step, use the or key.
2. Press to resume searching.
Ascanner will normally stop on any transmission it
receives.This means the UBCT8 will occasionally stop
on datasignals and unmodulated transmissions. You
can automatically skip many of these types of
transmissions during search.
1. Toactivate the Data Skip feature, press inScan or Search mode. “ ”
appears on the display.
2. Todeactivate the Data Skip feature, press again.“ ” disappears.
When DataSkip is active, your scanner may pause momentarily on an unwanted signal
but will resume searching in two or three seconds.The Data Skip feature is active as
well as Scan mode and Service Search mode. DataSkip does not function during
Service Scanning band (for ), Priority Scan, andTrunking
mode.
If a particularfrequency continues to interrupt search scanning, it is possible to set the
scanner to skip the frequency.
Toskip over a frequency, press when stopping on the frequency you want to skip or
when in Search Hold mode.
Youcan program up to 100 skip frequencies.
The 101st skip frequency entered causes the first skipped frequency to unlock.
Torestore a Locked out/Skipped channel.
1. Select the desired frequency by using the or key in Search Hold mode.
2. Press , and then press .
Torestore all skipped frequencies, press and hold for 2 seconds in Search Hold mode.
