Security Level

The WPS100 offer four levels of decode security for the delta bar codes. These include the Code 128 family, UPC/EAN, Code 93 and Scanlet. Increasing levels of security are provided for decreasing levels of bar code quality. There is an inverse relationship between security and scanner aggressiveness, so be sure to choose only that level of security necessary for any given application.

Security Level 0

This is the default setting which allows the scanner to operate fastest, while providing sufficient security in decoding most “in-spec” bar codes.

Security Level 1

Choose this option if misdecodes occur. This level should eliminate most misdecodes.
