WARNING

Do not operate the power supply and the computer at significantly different frame potentials. The interface connection system may not be capable of handling the resulting excessive ground currents.

Use an approved RS-232 connector and cable when connecting the RS-232 Interface to your computer. The RS-232 connector uses the 9 pin mating connector J4 on the rear panel. Figure 2.4 shows the connector pinouts for the RS-232 connector. Refer to Figure 2.2, on page 17 for the position of the RS-232 connector on the rear panel subplate.
