PITCH

Adjusting the Pitch

Initially, the Silent Series piano is tuned to the standard Concert Pitch (A=440 hertz).

The pitch, however, can be adjusted in one hertz steps from 438 to 445 hertz (one hertz is about four cents). Different pitches are sometimes used in vocal music and orches- tral performances. If you know the pitch that’s required, use the PITCH switch to set the Silent Series piano beforehand.

You’ll need a small, flatblade screwdriver to adjust the PITCH switch, which is located on the left side of the Control Box, as shown.

NOTE:

The PITCH switch setting is remembered when the Silent Series piano is powered down.
