PITCH

Changing the MIDI Receive Channel

The MIDI receive channel can be changed by using the PITCH switch. Usually, the Silent Series piano receives MIDI informa- tion on MIDI Channel 1. By setting the PITCH switch to the position one step to the right of the 438 hertz position as illustrated, the Silent Series piano can receive MIDI information on MIDI Channels 1 and 2. This setting is useful when playing, for example, songs with the left- and right-hand parts on separate MIDI channels.

Using a flat-bladed screwdriver, select the position one step to the right of the 438 hertz position.

NOTE:

When the Silent Series piano is set to receive on MIDI Channels 1 and 2, the pitch is fixed at 440 hertz. (The fine tuning func- tion can still be used. See page 35.)

Voyez page 35.)
