C’est grâce à la lon- gue expérience acquise par YAMAHA dans le domaine des pianos et de l’électronique que nous avons pu développer ce tout nouveau mode de jeu pour vos exercices en solo ou à quatre mains sans que vous perdiez la sensa- tion d’un véritable piano.

The Silent Series piano has two main fea- tures which distinguish it from a normal piano which together make up the Quick Silent system: first, the center pedal engages a hammer shank stopper, which prevents the hammers from hitting the strings, and effectively silences the piano.

Secondly, the Quick Silent system incorpo- rates the continuous-position optical sen- sors that capture every motion of the keys without mechanical interference, providing exceptional sensitivity and natural key- board response. Additional sensors register pedal movement as well, to faithfully repro- duce every facet of performance.
