Description

“Disabled” disables the integrated IDE Controller. “Primary” enables only the primary IDE Controller. “Secondary” enables the secondary IDE Controller. “Both” enables both IDE Controllers.

Selects the hard disk drive pre-delay. Causes the BIOS to insert a delay before attempting to detect IDE drives in the system.

Configures primary and secondary IDE devices as the name of the drive found or Not Installed.

Reports name of device installed, otherwise displays ”Not Installed.”

Description

Specifies the IDE configuration mode for IDE devices.

“User” allows the cylinders, heads, and sectors fields to be changed.

“Auto” automatically fills in the values of the cylinders, heads, and sectors fields.

Enables or disables the LBA mode control.

Specifies the number of sectors per block for transfers in a single interrupt from the hard drive to memory.

Check the hard drive’s specification for optimum setting.
