TROUBLESHOOTING - ELECTRIC BINDER MODEL # PB2600


Problem	Solution

No power, no lights	Not plugged in

No power, no lights, unit is plugged in	Contact an authorized GBC technician for service

Lights are on and motor runs, but hooks do not move	Contact an authorized GBC technician for service

Bind element won’t open	Ensure that the element is pushed down securely behind the
	vertical holding fingers

Binding element opening hooks appear to be bent and will not	Contact an authorized GBC technician for service
open the binding element

Bind element won’t open all the way	Change the setting of the binding control knob

Binding opening control knob does not change the setting	Contact an authorized GBC technician for service

Bind element won’t close all the way	Bind element is being opened too far, it should be opened only
	as far as needed to feed the paper

Will not hold open oval type bind elements	Change the setting of the element support posts and ensure that
	the oval element is pushed down securely behind the vertical
	holding fingers

Either the table binding switch or the alternate foot binding	Contact an authorized GBC technician for service
switch do not activate the binding element opening hooks

Foot pedal has been lost	Contact an authorized GBC technician order replacement
	part #:7301083

Power cord has been lost	Contact an authorized GBC technician, order replacement part #:
