LTo receive fax documents using the extension telephone, you must set remote fax activation to ON (feature #41 on page 62) beforehand. The default setting is “ON”.

4.6.1Activating TAM/FAX mode (Telephone Answering Machine/Fax mode)

1Set feature #77 to “TAM/FAX” (page 64) beforehand.

2Press {AUTO ANSWER} repeatedly to display the following.

TAM/FAX MODE 2 RINGS

LThe unit will play the pre-recorded

greeting message.

LThe display will show the ring setting in TAM/FAX mode. If you wish to change it, press {A} or {B} repeatedly to display the desired setting, and press {SET}.

LYou can adjust the speaker volume after

changing the ring setting. Press {A} or {B} while listening to the greeting message.

LThe {AUTO ANSWER} indicator turns ON.

LThe remaining time for recording messages will be displayed.
