Important:

Before formatting the SD memory card, it is neces- sary to select "Use" for "SD memory card" on the [SD memory card] tab of the "Basic setup" page (page 55) and "OFF" for "FTP periodic transmis- sion" on the [FTP] tab of the "Network setup" page (page 49).

Format the SD memory card only by clicking the [Execute] button on the setup menu. Otherwise, the following functions using the SD memory card may not work properly with this unit.

Save/obtain images when failed to transmit to the FTP server using the FTP periodic transmis- sion function

Save/obtain the system logs

Save/obtain images recorded using the SD memory recording function of Panasonic's net- work disk recorder.

It is impossible to format the SD memory card in the process of accessing, for example, when writing images on the SD memory card or during the FTP access.

It is impossible to access the SD memory card in the process of formatting.

All data saved on the SD memory card will be delet- ed when the SD memory card is formatted.

Do not turn the power of the unit off in the process of formatting.

After formatting the SD memory card, available size may be smaller than the total size since the default directory is automatically created in the SD memory card. After formatting the SD memory card, available size/total size will be refreshed when the window is refreshed.

Compatible SD memory card is as follows. SD memory card manufactured by Panasonic (64 MB, 128 MB, 256 MB, 512 MB, 1 GB, 2GB) (SDHC memory card is not supported.)

Depending on the remaining space of the SD memo- ry card, it may take around 30 seconds to format the card.
