Password Format

A password name can consist of any combination of alphanumeric char- acters. The alphanumeric name must have a minimum of five and a maximum of twenty characters. The DNH Communication board is shipped from the factory with the word “password” entered as the de- fault password name.

How to Change

The user can change the password name at any time. To do this login

using the current password then type: “password stand stand”. Where

 

the word stand is your new password entered twice to verify that it was

 

properly entered.

How to Log Out

 

You may log out or close the Configuration and Diagnostic program at

 

any time by typing logout. However, the Configuration and Diagnostic

 

program will automatically log you out after five minutes.

How to Log On

 

The following procedure assumes that the HyperTerminal program, re-

 

siding on your PC, has been configured to communicate with the DNH,

 

and the PC is connected to the DNH ‘A’ or ‘B’ Configuration Port.

 

1. Open Windows HyperTerminal program.

 

2. Press Enter twice

 

The following dialog box appears:
