SCREEN SAVER

You can activate or deactivate the screen saver function.

Select one of the following settings:

ON The picture on the TV becomes dark when no operation is done for 5 minutes.

OFF The screen saver function does not work.

BASS

Adjust the bass tone level from the front speakers within the range of –10 dB to +10 dB in 2 step intervals.

TREBLE

Adjust the treble tone level from the front speakers within the range of –10 dB to +10 dB in 2 step intervals.

MP3/JPEG

If both MP3 files and JPEG files are recorded on a disc, you can select which files to play.

Select one of the following settings:

MP3 Select for playing MP3 files.

JPEG Select for playing JPEG files.

You can also adjust the following items using the front panel or remote control (see pages 23 to 29).

L/R BALANCE

Adjust the output balance between the left front speaker and right front speaker within the range of “R–21” to “CENTER” or “CENTER” to “L–21.”

LFE ATT.

The Low Frequency Effect attenuator diminishes the distortion of the bass sound from the subwoofer while playing back a disc with Dolby Digital or DTS Digital Surround.

Select one of the following settings:

–10dBSelect to diminish the distortion of the bass sound from the subwoofer.

0dB Select to cancel this function.

D. RANGE COMPRESSION

You can enjoy a powerful sound at night even at a low volume level when listening to the sound with Dolby Digital.

Select one of the following settings:

MAX Select when you want to apply the compression effect fully (useful after midnight).

MID Select when you want to reduce the dynamic range a little.

OFF Select when you want to enjoy surround with its full dynamic range (no effect applied).
