5DISPLAY (T/F) BUTTON

IGNITION-OFF CLOCK CALL

During radio operation, a momentary press of the button will change the display from frequency to clock time. Press again and the radio display will change back to frequency.

During CD operation, a momentary press of the button will change the display from track elapsed time to clock time. IGNITION-OFF CLOCK CALL: To check the time with the vehicle ignition switch in the "off" position, momentarily press the T/F button. The display will illuminate and show the time and then automatically shut off after 5 seconds.

6BASS CONTROL

To adjust the bass level, first select the Bass mode by pressing the Select button 4 so that the level number above the BASS indication is flashing. Within 5 seconds of choosing the Bass mode, press either the / or the / buttons of the Level control 3 to adjust the bass response as desired. The bass level will be shown on the display panel from a minimum of –7to a maximum of 7 (0 is flat response). The display will automatically return to the normal indication 5 seconds after the last adjustment or when another function is activated.

7TREBLE CONTROL

To adjust the treble level, first select the Treble mode by pressing the Select button 4 so that the level number above the TRE indication is flashing. Within 5 seconds of choosing the Treble mode, press either the / or the / buttons of the Level control 3 to adjust the treble response as desired. The treble level will be shown on the display panel from a minimum of –7to

a maximum of 7 (0 is flat response). The display will automatically return to the normal indication 5 seconds after the last adjustment or when another function is activated.

8LEFT/RIGHT BALANCE & FRONT/REAR FADER CONTROL

To adjust the left-right speaker balance and front-rear fader, first select the Balance/Fader mode by pressing the Select button 4

so that the R 0 F 0 indication appears on the display panel. Within

5 seconds of choosing the Balance/Fader mode, press the button of the Level Control 3to adjust the stereo balance to the left channel speakers or the button to adjust it to the right channel speakers. When the volume level between the right and

left channels is equal, R 0 will be shown on the display panel.

Adjusting the balance toward the right will increase the number on the right side of the display to a maximum of R9 (full right). Adjust- ing the balance toward the left will increase the number on the left side of the display to a maximum of L9 (full left). The display will automatically return to the normal indication 5 seconds after the last balance adjustment or when another function is activated.

Press the or the buttons of the Level Control 3to adjust the front-rear speaker levels as desired. When the level of the front

and rear speakers is equal, F 0 will be shown on the display panel.

Adjusting the fader toward the front speakers will increase the number on the left side of the display to a maximum of F9 (full front). Adjusting the fader toward the rear speakers will increase the number on the right side of the display to a maximum of R9 (full rear). The display will automatically return to the normal indi- cation 5 seconds after the last fader adjustment or when another function is activated.
