AUTO-STORE TUNING (AS)
During radio operation, each momentary press of this button will change the radio band. The indication AMI, AMII, FMI, FMII, or FMIII will appear on the display panel according to your selection. Pressing and holding the button for longer than 4 seconds will activate the Auto-Store Tuning function which will automatically scan the AM or FM bands and enter strong stations into the

9SOUND STAGE PRE-SETS

The sound stage features allows the user to quickly adjust the balance and fader controls for optimum listening in each of the various seating positions in the vehicle. To select one of the five sound stage pre-sets, enter the balance/fader mode by pressing

the select button 4 so that the L

R 0 indication appears on the

display panel. Within 5 seconds of choosing the mode, press one of the following pre-set buttons as indicated below to optimize listening for the five seating position:

The sound stage pre-sets are factory set to the following conditions:

: For the left front seat

If desired, you can change the factory sound stage settings for each of the five seating positions by adjusting the balance and fader levels and then pressing the appropriate pre-set button for more than 2 seconds. The balance and fader indicator will blink

when the new setting is stored.

increased to -0 (no effect) default setting is -20.

To adjust the level meter sensitivity, first select the level meter mode by pressing the select button 4so that the LE indication is shown on the display. Use the button to select HI (High) sensitivity and button to select the Lo (Low) sensitivity setting for the level meter display. This feature allows the user to select the level meter scale.

bn LOUDNESS CONTOUR (L/D)

Pressing this button for longer than 2 seconds will activate the Loudness Contour as indicated by LOUD on the display panel. When listening to music at low volume levels, this feature will boost the bass and treble ranges to compensate for the characteristics of human hearing. Pressing the button again for longer than 2 seconds will deactivate the feature and LOUD will disappear from the display panel.

NOTE:Momentary presses of the button will change the radio sensitivity in Seek and Scan Tuning modes from local to

bo distance and back again as described in section br.

To adjust the mute level, first select the mute mode by pressing the select button 4so that the MUTE indication appears on the display. Within 5 seconds of choosing the mute level mode,
