Main Burner Snap Ignition
Follow the simple steps listed below to light the Main Burner(s) of your grill:
1.Open the lid and make sure that all burners are in the “OFF” position.
2.Turn main gas supply on.
3.Push the control knob in and turn to “HIGH”. This action will spark the igniter and light the pilot tube and then Main Burner.
4.If ignition does not occur within 5 seconds, turn control knob “OFF” and repeat ignition step number 3.
5.Verify that each burner has ignited by visual inspection of a flame.
WARNING: If ignition still does not occur, turn control knob OFF and wait 5 minutes before manually lighting the burner with match. See Match Lighting instructions.
Match Lighting Your Grill Main Burners
Follow the simple steps listed below to match light the Main Burner(s) of grill, in the event snap ignition fails:
WARNING: (Make sure that 5 minutes have elapsed since last attempt of lighting.) Make sure that the lid is in the full open position any time you attempt to light your grill. Failure to open the lid could lead to delayed ignition which may result in serious bodily injury or death, or in a fire or an explosion causing damage to property.
WARNING: Do not lean over an open barbecue.
1. Open the lid and make sure that all burners are in the “OFF” position.
DANGER: Failure to open the lid while igniting the main burners, or not waiting 5 minutes to allow the gas to clear if the side burner does not light, may result in an explosive
2.Turn main gas supply on.
3.Put match in the match holder and strike match.
4.Push in selected MAIN BURNER control knob and turn to “HIGH”.
5.Insert match holder and light match down through cooking grate to ignite the selected Main Burner.
WARNING: If the burner does not light, turn the selected burner control knob to OFF and wait 5 minutes to let the gas clear before trying again to light burner(s).
6. Verify selected Main Burner(s) has ignited by visual inspection of a flame.
For Natural Gas Grills and System Propane
It is also advisable to turn off the Natural Gas or System Propane gas supply at the main
