FRONT RIGGINGS

 

 

Section 3 - Front Riggings includes the following:

Installing/Removing/Using the Footrest/Legrest

Footrest Height Adjustment

Impact Guards/Calf Strap

Heel Loop Replacement

Raising/Lowering the Elevating Legrest Assembly

WARNING

After ANY adjustments, repair or service and BEFORE use, make sure all attaching hardware is tightened securely - otherwise injury or damage may occur.

INSTALLING/REMOVING/USING THE FOOTREST/LEGREST (FIGURE 1)

Footrest Release Lever

NOTE: This procedure applies to the swingaway

1. Turn the swingaway footrest assembly

2. Install the hinge plates on the swing-

USING THE FOOTREST/LEGREST

3.Push the swingaway footrest assembly towards the inside of the wheelchair until it locks into place.

NOTE: The footplate will be on the inside of the wheelchair when locked in place.

4. Repeat this procedure for the other footrest assembly.

REMOVING

1.Push the footrest release lever inward.

2.Rotate swingaway footrest assembly outward.

3.Lift the swingaway footrest assembly off of the hinge pins.

USING

1.To move the footrest out of the way without removing, push the footrest release lever inward, rotate footrest outward.

2.To lock the footrest, push the swingaway footrest assembly towards the inside of the wheelchair until it locks into place.

NOTE: The footplate will be on the inside of the wheelchair when locked in place.
