OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

CHARGING THE MAIN BATTERY AND FLASHLIGHT

Insert the plug of AC Adaptor (19) into the External AC15V Jack (13) as shown in figure A and plug the AC Adaptor into 120Vac 60Hz electrical outlet.

A

A. Main Battery Charging

1.Switch the Main Power Switch (12) to the ON (I) position.

2.Main Power Charging Indicator (8) will come on while charging.

3.Charging could take around 10 hours depending on the state of charge. When fully charged, the Main Power Charging Indicator (8) will turn off and the Main Power Charged Indicator (9) will come on indicating that the Main Battery is fully charged.

NOTE: TO BE PREPARED FOR A POWER OUTAGE, KEEP THE STORM STATION PLUGGED INTO AN ELECTRICAL OUTLET TO MAINTAIN 100 PERCENT OF ITS CHARGE. THAT WAY WHEN THE POWER GOES OUT THE STORM STATION WILL HAVE ALL OF ITS BATTERY POWER TO HELP YOU DURING A POWER OUTAGE. DURING STORAGE, TRANSPORTATION OR PERIODS WHEN IT IS NOT GOING TO BE USED RIGHT AWAY, ALWAYS REMOVE THE AC ADAPTOR AND TURN MAIN POWER SWITCH TO THE “OFF” POSITION.

Low Battery Indicator

1.When the main battery has been discharged below its minimum voltage

ALL OF THE FUNCTIONS OF THE STORM STATION WILL BE CUT off to

prevent over discharging the main battery.

2.When this happens the Main Power Charging / Low Battery Indicator (8) will start to flash indicating that the main battery should be charged.

If you are not able to charge the Storm Station immediately, turn the Main Power Switch (12) to the OFF position until charging can be accomplished.

3.Always turn the Main Power Switch ON during charging, the red charging light will glow. Disconnect anything connected to the 12Vdc Outlet (14) or the Inverter

Outlet (15).

NOTE: If 4 AA alkaline batteries have been inserted into the battery compartment at the back of the Storm Station, the radio will still function when the low voltage cutoff is energized or if the Main Power Switch is turned off.

B. Flashlight Charging

1.Place the flashlight into the flashlight charger stand keeping the on / off button facing forward as shown in figure B.

2.Switch the Main Power Switch (12) to the ON (I) position.

3.The Flashlight Charging Indicator (7) will come on indicating that the flashlight is charging.

3.The flashlight will be fully charged after approximately 16 hours. The charger and light will remain on to keep the flashlight batteries fully charged.

RADIO OPERATION

A. Radio Operation Using Rechargeable

Battery

1.Switch the Main Power Switch (12) to the ON (I) position.

2.Turn on the On/Off Volume Control (2) in a clockwise direction.
