Adjusting the parking brake

The parking brake (on the right side) is adjusted in the following manner:

1.Remove the transmission cover. Loosen both screws (one on each side) and lift off the transmission cover.

2.Unhook the spring (A) from the screw (B).

3.Check that the parking brake is not on.

4.Adjust the play between the casing and the adjustment screw to 1 mm when you pull the casing.

Adjust with the nuts on the adjustment screw.

5.Tighten the nuts moderately to avoid damaging the threads.

6.Replace the spring (A).

7.Test the brake to ensure that it works.

WARNING!

A poorly adjusted brake can result in reduced braking ability.
