Replacing the air ﬁlter

If the engine seems to lack power or does not run smoothly this may be because the air ﬁlter is clogged. If run with a soiled air ﬁlter, carbon can build-up on the spark plugs and lead to malfunction.

For this reason, it is important to replace the air ﬁlter regularly (see “Maintenance schedule” on page 29 for the proper service interval).

WARNING!

Allow the exhaust system to cool before performing service. Risk for burns.

1.Open the engine cover.

2.Undo both of the snap catches and lift off the cover on the air ﬁlter housing.

3.Remove the foam rubber pre-ﬁlter and clean using a mild detergent.

Squeeze it dry with a clean cloth.
