6287 ULTRA Power Up

Power on the printer. After the printer completes its power on initialization sequence, verify that it is on line and ready to receive and print data. If necessary, refer to the printer user’s manual for detailed information.

Power on the alternate host, if using an alternate host.

Power on the ULTRA by pushing down the on/off switch. The following Status Indicator Lights should all be on: POWER, CU SIGNAL and PRINTER READY. All other lights should be off.

The ULTRA is shipped with its dip switches and configuration options set for the most common environments. If the factory default settings are appropriate for the user’s environment, the ULTRA is ready to be used for printing.

If the user’s environment differs from the one for which the ULTRA is configured, the user may need to refer to the following chapters on dip switch settings, configuration options and the other user-changeable features of the ULTRA.
