INSTALLATION

General Information

This section provides information on physically attaching the AGILE 6287 ULTRA to the computer environment.

Before Beginning

The following are needed before installing the ULTRA:

A suitable location.

A serial or parallel printer (or plotter).

A host interface cable — RG62 A/U coaxial cable with BNC connectors on both ends. The length of this cable is not to exceed 5000 feet (1500 meters).

Additionally, the user or someone in the user’s organization should be knowledgeable about the host system.

Selecting a Location

The compact size, quiet operation, and attractive styling of the ULTRA enable it to be placed in almost any location. For ease of operation, it is best installed beside the printer.
