Abbreviated
Commands The command syntax shows most commands as a mixture of upper and
lower case letters. The upper case letters indicate the a bbr e via ted spelling
for the command. For shorter program lines, send the abbrevi a te d f or m. For
better program readability, you may send the enti r e command. The amplifier
will accept either the abbreviated form or the e ntire command.
For example, if a command’s syntax contains the keyword IMPedance, then
IMP and IMPEDANCE are acceptable forms. Lower or upper case letters
are also acceptable. Thus, IMPedance, impeda nce, IMP, or imp are all
acceptable.
Implied (Optional)
Keywords Implied or optional keywords are those which appe ar in squa r e brac ke ts ( [ ])
in the command syntax. The brackets are not part of the command, and are
not sent to the amplifier. Suppose you send the following command:
OUTP2 ON
In this case, the amplifier responds as if th e command was executed as:
OUTP2:STAT ON
