9 Daily Use
Purpose To read and understand your display screen.
Start Do this procedure:
 •AnytimeyouareusingyoursystemintheContinuousMonitoringmode.
Materials Your receiver.
Helpful Information
•Yourreceiverandtransmittermustbelinked,connected,andcalibratedinordertousethe
system in the Continuous Monitoring mode.
•Whenyousleep,placethereceiveronahighheadboardoronanearbydresserratherthan
clipping it to your bed clothing or taking it to bed. Be aware that if the receiver is set to vibrate
and if you place it too far from you, you may not hear it vibrate.
•Youmustkeepyourreceiverwithin10feetofthetransmittertomaintainaconsistentconnection.
If the connection between the transmitter and receiver is broken you will not receive continuous
glucose readings.
•econnectioncanalsobeaectedbyobjectsgettingbetweenthetransmitterandreceiver, like
nearby large metal objects, and by some electronic devices that produce radio frequencies.
As a periodic check, turn your receiver on a few times everyday to make sure that it is still
producing glucose results.
•Asaperiodiccheck,turnonthelowglucosealarmeverydaytomakesurethatitsoundsan
alarm (or vibrates) based on your settings.
•Ifaconnectionalarmsounds,adjusttheplacementofthereceiver,torestoretheconnection.
