5. Setup

5.1 WRC-2 in wireless mode

Transmitting:

In order to be able to use the WRC-2 in wireless mode, it must be mounted on a Wirless Main Unit (WMU-2 or WMU-3) as a transmitter. The Main Unit supplies the WRC-2 with power and establishes the radio link with the camera.

Up to three WMU can be used simultaneously, therefore the WRC-2 can be controled by one operator while e.g. the focus unit can be controlled by another operator. Please refer to the LCS instruction manual for further details.

Receiving:

On the camera side, a receiver is needed. When using ARRICAM cameras, the receiver is built in the Lens Data Box. When using 435, the receiver is the Universal Radio Module (URM-3). This device has to be mounted to the Function Expansion Module (FEM-1 or FEM-2) When using other cameras, the Universal Radio Module (URM-3) can be used as a receiver.
