7-4. Error Messages

Here is a complete list of error messages that GT-541 shows. When mark ** is in Solution, write

down the error code number and the message, and then make contact to your dealer or Brother.

Error codes of Warnings (#1xxx) are only written in Log file.

Error

code Message Meaning Solution

1000 (INK LOW Black) Black ink level is too low. Prepare a new black ink cartridge.

1001 (INK LOW Magenta) Magenta ink level is too low. Prepare a new magenta ink cartridge.

1002 (INK LOW Cyan) Cyan ink level is too low. Prepare a new cyan ink cartridge.

1003 (INK LOW Yellow) Yellow ink level is too low. Prepare a new yellow ink cartridge.

1010 WASTE INK FULL Warning: The Waste Ink Cartridge

is almost full.

Prepare a new Waste Ink Cartridge. You can

keep printing for a while, but replacement is

soon required.

1021 Wp-Blade Life The Print Head Wiper Blade needs

to be replaced.

See “7-2-10. Replacing the Wiper Blade”

and replace to a new one.

1051 CR Motor Life The Carriage Motor is worn. **

1060 Temp Low: xxx °F

The ambient temperature is below

the range that maintains the print

quality.

“xxx” is the current temperature.

Raise the room temperature.

1061 Temp High: xxx °F

The ambient temperature is above

the range that maintains the print

quality.

“xxx” is the current temperature.

Drop the room temperature.

1070 Battery Life The battery ran out. **

1080 RTC not Adjusted The internal clock has not been

set. **

2000 NO INK Black The Black Ink Cartridge is not

installed. Install a Black Ink Cartridge.

2001 NO INK Magenta The Magenta Ink Cartridge is not

installed. Install a Magenta Ink Cartridge.

2002 NO INK Cyan The Cyan Ink Cartridge is not

installed. Install a Cyan Ink Cartridge.

2003 NO INK Yellow The Yellow Ink Cartridge is not

installed. Install a Yellow Ink Cartridge.

2010 NO WASTE INK

TRAY

The Waste Cartridge Tray is not

installed. Install a Waste Ink Cartridge Tray

2020 EMPTY Black The Black Ink Cartridge ran out of

ink. Replace to a new Black Cartridge.

2021 EMPTY Magenta The Magenta Ink Cartridge ran out

of ink. Replace to a new Magenta Cartridge.
