PAGE PROTECTION

Note

The setting in this mode menu is effective in the HP PCL5C, EPSON FX- 850, IBM Proprinter XL and HP-GL modes. It does not appear in the BR- Script 2 mode.

If print images are too complex to print, the printer may print them in parts or only on part of the page. If this occurs, the printer loses print data and shows a message on the LCD panel.

The page protection function reserves additional memory so that the printer can create the entire page image in memory before physically printing it. This function can be set for 330 x 483mm (13"x19"), Ledger, letter, A3, A4 or legal size paper. Select the paper size for page protection.

Note

When you use the page protection function, note the following:

If the function setting is changed, all download fonts and macros— including permanent ones—are cleared. If the memory is too low to protect pages, page protection does not take effect.
